Who we are
Pixel Muse Studio is a web design studio based in Canada that works with clients around the world. The person in charge of protecting personal information is the owner of Pixel Muse Studio. You can reach them at [email protected] for any question or request about your data.
What we collect, and why
- When you contact us. The contact form prepares an email in your own email app. We receive only what you choose to send: usually your name, email, website address, the plan you picked and your message. We use it to reply, prepare your free website check and, if you become a client, to deliver your project.
- Your language and currency. The language and currency you pick are remembered in your own browser only. They are never sent to us.
- Technical data. Our host, Cloudflare, processes basic request data (such as IP address and browser type) to deliver the site and protect it from attacks. We don’t use it to identify you.
- Clients. If we work together, we also keep project details, invoices and the accounts you share with us, only for as long as the work and the law require.
What we don’t do
- No advertising, tracking or profiling cookies, so you won’t see a cookie banner here.
- No selling, renting or sharing your information for marketing.
- No third-party font or tracking requests: fonts are served from our own site.
If we ever add analytics, we’ll use a cookie-free, privacy-focused tool and update this page first.
Who else handles it
We rely on a few service providers: Cloudflare (hosting and security), our email provider (to receive and answer messages) and, for clients, the payment service used to pay invoices. Some of these providers may store data outside your country, including in the United States. We choose providers with strong security and only share what each one needs.
How long we keep it
Inquiries that don’t turn into a project are deleted within 24 months. Client records are kept for as long as Canadian tax law requires (generally six years), then deleted.
Your rights
You can ask us at any time to:
- see the personal information we hold about you;
- correct it if it’s wrong or incomplete;
- withdraw your consent or have it deleted, unless the law requires us to keep it.
Email [email protected]. We reply within 30 days. If you’re not satisfied, you can contact the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec, the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or, if you live in the EU or UK, your local data protection authority.
Security incidents
If a breach ever puts your information at risk of serious harm, we’ll tell you and the relevant privacy authority without delay, as the law requires.
Changes
We’ll update this page if anything changes and show the new date at the top.
